Somehow, you always feel better after, there\u2019s a science behind that but we prefer to focus on the feeling.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\">The physical benefits kind of speak for themselves, but still, over time, we can run a little further, go a little faster, endure for a little longer. It doesn\u2019t matter where you started and it doesn\u2019t matter where you\u2019re heading, all you know is that you\u2019re a runner, and that feels good.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\">The taped knees and the worn out shoes, the jog that breaks when you\u2019re just warm enough, and the stretches you dread after it\u2019s said and done. They\u2019re important, but we don\u2019t enjoy them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\">Mental benefits are harder to quantify, fathom, make sense of, but there\u2019s a slowing of the mind, an almost meditative state to be found, focussing on the pace and the breath, no room for anything else.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\">Whether it\u2019s a block or a mile, round the houses or round the track, there is a comfort in the run that can\u2019t be found anywhere else.
