Let’s get the obvious one out of the way..<\/strong>. Of course we’re putting Trentham Gardens parkrun<\/strong> at number one. It’s right on our doorstep, we help support the event, and yes, we might be a little biased. But honestly? We’d recommend it even if we weren’t based here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set within the stunning Trentham Estate, this is one of the most picturesque parkruns you’ll find anywhere in the UK. The one lap route takes you around the lake, through the iconic Italian Gardens and along wide gravel paths, making every kilometre feel a little different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Trailrunner’s Dream<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you’re looking to swap tarmac for trees, Delamere parkrun should be high on your list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set in the heart of Delamere Forest, this two lap course winds through beautiful woodland, offering a completely different experience to many traditional parkruns. You’ll be surrounded by towering trees, fresh forest air and peaceful scenery from start to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The compact gravel paths make it suitable for most runners, although the undulating terrain means you’ll need to work a little harder than on flatter courses. Don’t let that put you off though. The scenery more than makes up for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re visiting from Staffordshire, it’s well worth making a morning of it by exploring more of Delamere Forest once you’ve crossed the finish line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting in Congleton Park, the route follows the River Dane before looping back through the park, giving runners plenty of variety without being overly challenging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mostly flat course makes it a popular choice for anyone chasing a personal best, while the welcoming volunteer team ensures first timers feel just as at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you’ve finished, Congleton town centre is only a short walk away, making it easy to grab breakfast or coffee before heading home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosted in the beautifully restored Hanley Park, the course combines wide tarmac paths with a few gentle inclines to keep things interesting. It’s an ideal event for anybody – those hoping for their next PB and those just enjoying a steady 5K.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
