Starting and ending outside our shop on the Trentham Estate, the Millicent round takes in much of Trentham and its perimeter.

Named after ‘Meddling Millie’ the duchess of Sutherland, a notable member of Trentham’s history,  who as a social reformer bettered working conditions for pottery workers as well as becoming a red cross nurse during WWI. The author,  editor, playwright and journalist was a powerful female figure, tough and beautiful just like our round.

16.5 miles of Trentham and the surrounding areas finest trails and paths for you to enjoy or push hard on whenever you want to.

From Trentham Estate you’ll pass through Trentham Park, over King’s Wood past the Duke of Sutherland’s monument, skirting the Monkey forest and down through Tittensor before heading over the stunning Barlaston Downs. Passing past Barlaston Hall, through the notable Wedgwood Estate heading back into Trentham and onto the canal.

From there you’ll join the River Trent which gives Trentham its name and back through Trentham in close proximity to where the Priory once was and through Trentham graveyard, home of the mausoleum where many of the Duke and Duchess’ family lie.

Make sure on your return to Trentham Estate you pop into our shop with proof of your round to claim your free finishers certificate and momento, we love to hear about everyone’s adventures.
