RUN TO THE BRIDGE: EMMA’S 152 MILE MISSION FOR UHNM CHARITY
Emma Phillips, PAU’s Business Development Manager, is running 152 miles in October to raise money for UHNM Charity. She will be starting at PAU Run & Ride in Trentham and her journey will conclude at our Penmaenpool Toll Bridge in Dolgellau.
Keep reading for more information, and keep an eye open for updates from Emma on her training plans on the lead up to her big run.

Raising Funds & Awareness for UHNM Charity
All donations raised will go to UHNM Charity which improves patient care and experience at University Hospitals of North Midlands.
The charity is especially close to Emma’s heart, as she recently lost a dear friend, Justin Kirkham, to liver cancer 18 months ago. Emma has also been deeply affected by the passing of Dr. Alison Brind who worked with liver disease patients for 25+ years and was also an accomplished endurance athlete from Staffordshire. Her commitment to healthcare and her passion for ultrarunning made her an inspiring figure to many.
In memory of both her friend and Dr. Brind, Emma decided it was time to set out on this high-endurance challenge, not only honours their legacies but also aims to raise awareness and support for the cause that meant so much to them.

The Route
Emma is taking on a monumental endurance challenge, covering an astonishing 152 miles of running combined with a staggering 4000 meters of elevation gain over the course of a weekend.
She will be starting her run on Friday 11th October and hopes to arrive at the bridge by Sunday 13th October.

Supporting Emma’s Run to the Bridge Mission
Emma is thrilled to have received support from several brands for her run “To the Bridge” mission. PAU Run & Ride, Topo Athletic, Ultimate Direction, and Ronhill have all stepped up to back her ambitious challenge. Their generous support not only provides essential gear and resources but also fuels her determination to make a meaningful impact.
