SUCCESS FOR MAT
What a whirlwind of a couple of weeks – you know how January can be! We just wanted to take a moment to celebrate and share the incredible success of Mat Capper during the NSRRA (North Staffs Road Running Association) awards evening. He received two trophies for his running – what an incredible achievement!
A MESSAGE FROM MAT:
“I knew I was getting my 1st place trophy for topping the group, but I was completely shocked to see I got the Vernon Olivant award for my stone 10k result.
It was a great night, and it’s amazing to see that we have so much talent within our area.
With more striders entering next year, we will automatically be put into the group category where the top 6 results from the club could win us an award at each race. Based on combined points.
I have never won a real award before besides best dancer at the school disco year 3 and battle of the bands 07 (beating lethal bizzle🤣).
I look forward to seeing what the club can achieve this year! Good luck everyone.”
