Ride with Team PAU – The Hare and Hound
Join us Sunday 1st March as we kick off the 2026 season on the road! Take on the 85km route at your own pace and see if you can outsmart the Team PAU “hounds.”
This ride marks the launch of our 2026 team, bringing the team together for a season-opening bonding ride. We’re inviting the local cycling community to join too — ride the route alongside the team, enjoy the countryside, and be part of the fun.
Team PAU is made up of junior riders supported through Project PAU, our initiative helping young cyclists develop and progress.
How the Ride Works
The route is 85km, starting and finishing at PAU Café.
The Team PAU riders will start at 9.30 and aim to maintain a pace of 20mph. You can set your own start time to finish ahead of or with the team, the cafe will be open from 8am on the day of the ride serving coffee and breakfast.
The ride is an unsupported, self-navigated ride — no racing, just great riding, and a bit of fun as the team catches up along the way.
The Hare and Hound Cycling Route
The route is designed to enable groups to move at a constant speed, so it’s a little different to a normal sportive route with some bigger roads than you might normally meet on one of our rides.
Don’t get lost! Make sure you download the GPX ahead of the ride — with no signage on the course, it’s the only way to navigate safely.
