Bradley Wiggins Joins PAU
This past weekend, PAU welcomed none other than Sir Bradley Wiggins into the family as our latest brand ambassador.
From a personal meet and greet to a challenging 50-mile ride, here’s a look back at the highlights that made this weekend special for everyone involved.
The Meet & Greet at PAU Run & Ride in Trentham
Saturday kicked off with a personal Meet & Greet session at our Trentham location, where fans had the unique opportunity to meet the man himself, Sir Bradley Wiggins. The excitement in the air was electric as Bradley shared stories, signed memorabilia, and took photos with attendees. For many, it was a dream come true to meet one of Britain’s greatest sporting icons up close.
An Evening with Bradley Wiggins at PAU Cafe
Following the meet and greet, we hosted a Live Q&A Talk where Sir Wiggo delved into his extraordinary career. The session offered deep insights into his journey, from his early days as a young cyclist to his historic wins in the Olympics and Tour de France. Bradley’s honesty, humour, and passion for the sport captivated the audience as he answered questions and gave advice to aspiring riders. His involvement in Project PAU, which helps young cyclists progress, was a hot topic, and it was clear just how much the initiative means to him personally.

The Ride with Wiggins
The weekend culminated on Sunday with a 50-mile group ride, led by none other than Bradley himself. Cycling enthusiasts of all levels joined in, sharing the road with one of the greatest riders of our generation. The scenic route, planned by RideStaffs, challenged riders with rolling hills and beautiful countryside views, and with the support of the PAU Run & Ride mechanics, everyone made it through with smiles (and tired legs!).
The ride wasn’t just about mileage, though – it was about bringing cyclists together. Cyclists rode side by side, sharing stories, laughs, and experiences, all while following Bradley’s. The event showcased the welcoming and supportive community that PAU has built, making it an incredible experience for everyone involved.
We were joined by so many cycling legends!
We were thrilled to have cycling legends Russ Downing, Dean Downing, and Steve Joughin join us for the event, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to them for their support! Steve Joughin produced the fantasic finishers T-shirts at Pro Vision Clothing.
We’re proud to have supported such a great cause…
We are proud to have donated to Cancer My Arse, a charity dedicated to supporting vital research and initiatives for cancer prevention and treatment. Their work aids organisations like Action Medical Research for Children, Cancer Research UK, and Bowel Cancer UK. By participating in this event, you’ve contributed to a cause that makes a real difference in the lives of many. Thank you for being part of this important effort!
Looking Ahead: PAU X Bradley Wiggins
This weekend was a testament to the power of community, passion, and, of course, cycling. With Sir Bradley Wiggins now part of the PAU family, we’re excited to see what’s next for both him and Project PAU as we continue to support young cyclists and the cycling community.
