PROJECT PAU PARTNERS WITH PINARELLO FOR TEAM PAU JUNIOR CYCLISTS
The riders in Team PAU have been given a Pinarello F7 each to support them in their cycling journey, with unrivalled performance, speed, and agility built into every bike. With custom bike fits for every rider, these pieces are engineered for each rider’s success as part of the team.
Pinarello is a brand rooted in both style and speed, with iconic silhouettes that don’t just look the part, but perform it, too. Described as looking quick even when they’re standing still, these bikes are born to race, and born to win.
“Partnering with Pinarello for our team was a clear choice, offering the best bikes for performance to these young people so that they can reach their full potential, on a high-quality, lightning fast steed that they can ride, race, and compete on.”
Paul Ball, Founder of PAU
Team PAU is made up of eight riders who have all been part of the fully-funded Project PAU programme. They have all received a Pinarello F7 for their training, riding, and racing, to support them on their cycling journey. The F7 is a bike that is built for racing and built for winning, with an asymmetric frame and competition geometry, it is an all-rounder that is capable of far more than your average road-runner.
“Cycling is a sport where you need access to lightweight aerodynamic kit just to be on a level playing field with the competition, for some riders that creates a financial barrier to their success regardless of their skill. By providing these bikes for our riders we’re giving them the chance to be the best they can be and to progress onto incredible things.”
Paul Rowlands, Head of Project PAU
This partnership will allow the riders to thrive without having to worry about what they’re riding and how it might be affecting their performance. A bike that is built for racing makes all the difference, but the cost involved in acquiring the right sort of kit can be out of reach for many. A Pinarello is the ultimate riding machine, and will see each of the Team PAU riders through their journey with Team PAU. Discover the PAU range of Pinarello bikes here.
“It was an exciting prospect for Pinarello to partner with Team PAU in 2024, Our DNA is in racing and this partnership will help inspire the next generations of Cyclists alongside PAU.”
Joe Deacon, Head of Marketing at Pinarello
This is the first partnership of its kind and the first team of its kind. PAU is leading the charge in supporting young cyclists, making riding more accessible, attainable, and inclusive for a diverse range of riders, regardless of their background with their Project PAU initiative.
“Project PAU is open and free to any young person with a keen interest in cycling. Our aim is to inspire the next generation of pro cyclists and team members with weekly webinars hosted by ex-professional riders and coaches every Monday evening. Team PAU takes this to the next level, with PAU offering everything we can to aid their success within the team.”
Paul Ball, founder of PAU
