Ridley Grifn GRX800 2x12 Gravel Bike – One Bike. Two Worlds.
At PAU Run & Ride in Trentham, Staffordshire, we’re cyclists ourselves, so we understand that the best bike is the one that fits the way you actually ride. The Ridley Grifn is built for riders who don’t want to choose between road speed and gravel capability.
Designed as an all road bike, the Grifn combines the responsive handling of a road bike with the stability, comfort and tyre clearance needed for gravel and mixed surfaces. Fit it with road tyres for fast club rides and long-distance road riding, or switch to wider gravel tyres when the route heads off the tarmac.
This build pairs the carbon Grifn frame with a Shimano GRX800 2x12 groupset, DT Swiss G1800 Spline tubeless-ready wheels and 35mm Schwalbe G-One RS tyres, creating a versatile setup for everything from fast road miles to adventurous gravel riding.
Come and see us in Trentham and we’ll talk through how you ride, where you ride and what you want from your next bike. Our team can help you choose the right size, tyres and setup for your riding.
Your bike can also be professionally fitted by Andy Gray, our IBFI-certified bike fitter with over 20 years’ experience in the cycling industry, ensuring your position and setup are dialled in from day one.
One Bike. Two Worlds.
The Grifn is designed to bridge the gap between road and gravel. Its all road geometry delivers a responsive, nimble ride on tarmac while maintaining the stability needed when surfaces become rougher.
With clearance for tyres up to 38mm with the 2x drivetrain, you can run narrower road tyres for speed or wider tyres for extra comfort, grip and confidence on gravel and rougher roads.
It’s equally at home on a fast Staffordshire road loop, a long weekend ride through the Peak District or a route that mixes smooth tarmac with gravel tracks.
SHIMANO GRX800 2x12
The Shimano GRX800 2x12 groupset provides smooth, reliable shifting with gearing suited to both fast road riding and steeper gravel climbs.
The 46/30T GRX crankset is paired with an 11–34T cassette, giving you a wide range of gears for everything from riding in a fast group to tackling longer climbs.
CARBON ALL ROAD FRAME
The Grifn's carbon frame is designed to balance low weight, stiffness and comfort across a wide range of surfaces.
Its all road geometry sits between a traditional road bike and gravel bike, creating a ride that feels reactive and agile on tarmac while remaining stable and predictable when the road gets rough.
38MM TYRE CLEARANCE
The Grifn offers clearance for tyres up to 38mm with a 2x drivetrain.
The bike comes fitted with 35mm Schwalbe G-One RS Pro tubeless-ready tyres, giving you a fast rolling setup with the additional grip and comfort needed for mixed surfaces.
Change wheelsets and tyres and the Grifn can move effortlessly between road and gravel riding.
DT SWISS G1800 SPLINE WHEELS
The DT Swiss G1800 Spline wheelset provides a strong, dependable platform for all road and gravel riding.
With a 24mm internal rim width and tubeless-ready construction, these wheels are designed to work with wider tyres while maintaining a responsive feel.
11 MOUNTING POINTS
The Grifn features 11 mounting points, giving you plenty of options for bottles, frame bags and other riding essentials.
Mounting points on the down tube, seat tube and top tube allow you to personalise the bike for everything from everyday riding to longer adventures.
READY FOR ALL WEATHER
The Grifn isn't limited to dry-weather riding.
The frame and fork feature mudguard mounts, while the fork has internal routing for a dynamo hub. There is also integrated routing for a rear light, making the Grifn a practical option for commuting and year-round riding.
UNIVERSAL DERAILLEUR HANGER
The Grifn uses a Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH), providing compatibility with modern drivetrain technology while helping protect the derailleur against impacts and chain drops.
BUILT FOR STAFFORDSHIRE & THE PEAK DISTRICT
The Grifn makes particular sense for the roads around us at PAU.
From fast Staffordshire lanes to rougher Peak District backroads, the riding here rarely stays on one type of surface. The Grifn gives you the flexibility to keep exploring without needing a different bike every time the route changes.
Run fast road tyres for your regular club ride, switch to wider gravel rubber for an adventure, or find a setup somewhere in between.
One bike. More roads to explore.
